Volkswagen,
TSI means maximum power accompanied with minimal
consumption. This is done by mixing direct injection and turbo charging with
minimal engine capacity.
The Golf and Touran can use these TSI engines, which has a
power output of 103 and 125 kilowatts. The third option in the engine line-up
is the new 90 kilowatts TSI.
The torque of the current 1.4 liter turbo engine is
estimated 30 percent higher than the torque of the 1.6 FSI engine. The current turbo engine has 200 Newton-meters
of torque at 1,500 rpm.
The TSI engine can have low-end torque gains of up to 66
percent. Consumption has been diminished by approximately 6 percent, in spite
of refined performance, better VW timing parts,
and improved torque characteristics.
The new VW TSI engine is patterned on its compressor
counterparts that have 103 and 125 kilowatts. As differentiate to twin-charged
engines, the 90 kilowatts TSI maximizes just the turbo-charger for boost, where
an added compressor is not a requirement.
Meanwhile, VW has also introduced the first ever
seven-speed DSG gearbox. This is another first from the German automaker. This
gearbox will be used for volume models.
As compared to the six-speed DSG gearbox, the seven-speed
DSG’s clutches further improves efficacy.
The VW six-speed DSG gearbox gave automatic engines small amount of
consumption. With the efficacy and
sporty attributes, the DSG made the DSG gear boxes well known in the compact
and mid class type of vehicles. A very concrete example is the DSG being
ordered in almost 25 of Tourans in the market today.
The VW seven-speed DSG gearbox will be available for
vehicles like the Polo and Passat. The
maximum torque which can be transferred is tantamount to a maximum of 250
The tandem of these new VW products gives excellent and
convenience consumption patterns, further comfort and, eventually, driving
enjoyment. When VW Golf was used, it consumed only 5.9 l/100 km. Both the
seven-speed DSG gearbox and the 90 kilowatts TSI proved that Volkswagen
manufactures highly enhanced technology that is affordable to all types of
drivers. 407
