THE PALM JEBEL ALI
The Palm, Jebel Ali will add a new twist to the
Palm concept - Waterhomes built on stilts forming
a 12km chain between the Fronds and the Crescent
and spelling out a verse from an Arabic poem
written by HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid
al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense
Minister. The Palm Jebel Ali, is positioned 22
kilometres from The Palm, Jumeirah. Palm Jebel
Ali will include six marinas, a ‘Sea Village’
theme park, and an enlarged crescent breakwater.
The crescent has also been modified at the tips,
with ‘fingers’ at the end of the crescent. These

THE PALM DEIRA
The Palm, Deira is the third of Nakheel’s man
made palm shaped islands. The Palm, Deira is made
up of a trunk, a crown with 41 fronds and a
surrounding crescent. It will measure 14.3
kilometers in length from base of the trunk to
the tip of the crescent, and will be 8.5
kilometers in width. Fronds will vary in length,
ranging from 840 – 3,346 metres, with a distance
of between 150 – 400 metres of sea between each
frond.
The crescent, which will run for 21 kilometers,
acts as a breakwater and is expected to be the
largest in the world. Approximately 1 billion
cubic meters of rock and sand will be quarried in
the UAE to build the land mass of the island. The
location is just off the coast of Deira, 1.6
kilometers from the Sharjah border and 4
kilometers from international waters from the tip
of the crescent. It is also located 8 kilometers
from The World and will add 400 kilometers to
Dubai’s shoreline. The surrounding area is home
to Dubai’s key heritage sites and is close to
downtown Deira. This will be a leisure,
residential and tourist development featuring 7,
820 villas, a number of lavish hotels, several
large marinas, restaurants, shopping malls,
sports facilities, health spas, cinemas and
various other luxury amenities.

The Palm, Deira will be built in the shape of a
palm tree consisting of a trunk, a crown with 41
fronds, and a surrounding crescent that acts as a
breakwater.
The Palm, Deira will be a leisure, residential
and tourist development featuring 7,820 villas, a
number of lavish hotels, several large marinas,
restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities,
health spas, cinemas and various other luxury
amenities.
The Palm, Deira is 14.3 kilometres long from the
base of the trunk to the tip of the crescent, and
8.5 kilometres in width.
The crescent will run for 21 kilometres and is
the largest in the world.
Fronds will vary in length, ranging from 840 – 3,
346 metres, with a distance of between 150 – 400
metres of sea between each frond.
The crown of The Palm, Deira will be 7 kilometres

Deira, 50.2 metres from the Sharjah border and 20
kilometres from international waters.
The Palm, Deira is 8 kilometres from The World,
300 private islands forming the shape of the
continents.
The Palm, Deira will be built in waters that are
6 metres deep reaching to 22 metres below sea
level.
Dredging and reclamation of The Palm, Deira is
set to commence by the end of 2004 and is
expected to be completed End 2015.
The Palm consists: The villas will be classified
into three distinct styles, comprising of:
Premier Homes, Grand Homes & Vista Homes.
Owners will also be able to choose from a range
of architectural themes at a later stage.
Complementing the villas, the island will feature
private and public beaches and marinas, shopping
and dining outlets, and several facilities for
leisure, rest and recreation.
All three styles of villas will be two stories
with immediate beach access and the private pools.
The plots of land will be slightly larger than
the previous Palms, creating more landscape area.

Deira Corniche.
