If you browse the shelves of any self respecting electronics store, you will come across something called a DPF (digital photo frame). These are essentially compact LCD screens combined with a frame and stand. It sounds simple, but don't be tricked by the advertising. The viewable area on their PF1 model is 10.4" and the PF2 has a 10.2" screen, which are among the largest screens available in the UK. The LCD reproduces vivid colours and with ultra sharp accuracy because the screen is the same as those used in computer monitors. The superior 800 x 600 screen resolution beats almost every other DPF in the UK because competitor screens display at a maximum of 600 x 480 resolution. No other DPF comes close to reproducing pictures with as much clarity. Using the interactive menu on the PF1 you can set up a slide show facility, allowing you to play music while your pictures slide through like a screen saver. Better still, you could use it to play movies (the hardware supports avi, divx, mjpg, etc). The integrated card reader supports nearly all popular memory, including SD cards to xD cards. And using the ultra fast USB2.0 connection, you can download/upload your photos, music and movies into the large in built memory - meaning it works out of the box! Not all DPF's have the multi-functionality and it's important to remember this. The answer is - everything. The quality, price and after service offered equates to amazing value for money. Sugar's DPF are priced in line or in most cases even cheaper than competitor models. When I contacted Sugar to ask why an obviously better product was being priced so low, a Sugar spokesman confirmed that, 'due to their more efficient factory and streamlined head office operations, we [Sugar] can price our products very competitively without compromising on quality'.
